Former EUI staff member Sergio Avian passed away on 5 August 2012. He was one of the earliest members of the Institute, entering into service in the Library in the autumn of 1975. He retired in 1994 and is fondly remembered by his colleagues.

Our friend and colleague, Stefania Galeazzi, passed away in June after a long and courageous fight against a serious illness.

Alessandro Masselli (Logistics Service) and Cécile Brière (Budget & Financial Service) announce the birth of their son, Benoît, on 18 September.
