Alumnus praised by the Vatican

Dr Alexander Stummvoll has won the biannual international young researchers’ award for the promotion of Catholic Social Doctrine from the Vatican Foundation in Rome. Weiler to deliver lecture on bees

Professor Joseph Weiler, President of the EUI and avid beekeeper, will be describing the life of the hive when he gives a guest lecture at the British Institue of Florence next Wednesday, 28 January. The talk is entitled “The Secret Life of Bees” and will take place at 6pm in the Sala Ferragamo in the Harold Acton Library. Tickets will be €5.

EUI pays tribute to the victims of the Parisian tragedies

Staff and researchers have observed a one minute silence in honour of those killed in the recent Parisian tragedies at Charlie Hebdo and the Kosher Supermarket. Gatherings were held at noon at eight locations across the EUI.
