Corinna Unger joins History Department
The EUI is delighted to announce that Corinna Unger will be joining the EUI’s Department of History as new Professor of Global and Colonial History.
Before joining the EUI, Unger was Professor of Modern European History at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany.
Her research focuses on global and international history and on the history of colonialism and decolonization. Most recently she has been working on the history of development aid in the twentieth century with a focus on India since 1947.
She tells EUI Life, “I think [the Professorship] is a unique opportunity to work in an international environment characterized by so many different languages, cultures, research interests, and academic backgrounds. I am very much looking forward to getting to know new research topics and to cooperating with my new colleagues.’’
Unger will be teaching this a seminar on Decolonization and Development this term at the EUI.
