EUI sponsors Cambodian girl

Srey-pIn 2015 the EUI will continue to support the education of Srey Pi, a young Cambodian girl who, thanks to the contributions of the EUI community, attends the Russey Keo Primary School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Srey Pi is now in the third grade at the boarding school, and the EUI has been her sponsor since early 2013.  Srey Pi writes the EUI regularly and her letter is accompanied by a progress report from the school.

Support for Srey Pi is channeled through CIFA, an Italian charity which supports children in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

As in the past two years, collection boxes will be placed in the Institute coffee bars in December.  The collection will run until the holiday closure of the Institute, and EUI members will be informed as to how much money was collected to support this child.  Funds raised beyond the necessary sponsorship fees may be put towards an English class for Srey Pi and additional support for other children.
