Researchers from all EUI departments are teaching in Italian schools as part of the Festival of Europe.

This spring 12 researchers will be giving lessons on aspects of the European Union to secondary school pupils in English and Italian. The wide range of topics discussed includes European law, federalism, human rights, immigration and political behaviour.

The initiative is part of the EUI’s ongoing participation in the Festival of Europe, a biennial event which began in 2011. This year’s festival will take place from 7 to 12 May, with a series of cultural events across Florence.

The researchers involved in the teaching programme will be guests at The State of the Union conference, organised by the EUI and hosted by the city of Florence at Palazzo Vecchio on 9 May.
