Doctoral Prize for François-Xavier Millet

François-Xavier MilletFrançois-Xavier Millet has received the 2013 prize for the best doctoral thesis from the Constitutional Council of France at an award ceremony in Paris.

Millet’s thesis,  ‘L’Union Européenne et l’Identité Constitutionnelle des Etats-Membres’ defended in December 2013 also won the EUI’s Mauro Cappelletti Prize for the best doctoral thesis at the EUI in the field of comparative law.

The prize was awarded by Jean-Louis Debré, current president of the Constitutional Council. The thesis will now be published in the “Bibliothèque constitutionnelle et de science politique”

As of 1 September 2013, Millet is Associate Professor in Public Law (Maître de conférences) at Toulouse Law School (University of Toulouse Capitole).  His thesis was recently published as L’Union européenne et l’identité constitutionnelle des États membres (Paris, Lextenso editions et Karine Roudier, 2013)
