Global Governance Programme migration survey
The Global Governance Programme is conducting a survey looking into recent migration from the southern EU member states and Ireland.
These countries have been hit especially hard by the recent financial crisis and subsequent austerity measures. Wages have fallen, unemployment has risen, reaching up to 50 per cent in young people in some of these countries.
The media have covered these recent ‘’waves’’ of immigration, but it has been studied less extensively by the world of academia. The survey is part of on-going research aiming to better understand migration within the EU, and will attempt to uncover the profiles and motivations of those who have emigrated.
The online survey will run until 20 July 2013 and the first results and analysis will be published the following October.
If you would like to take part in the survey, which takes approximately 15 minutes, you can do so by following the link below.
