Juan Masullo Jimenez Wins Monograph Award

Doctoral researcher, Juan Masullo Jimenez has been granted the Award for Research Monographs on Civil Resistance by the International Center for Nonviolent Conflict.

Juan was awarded for his work on “Resisting Armed Groups in Irregular Civil War: The case of the Peace Community of San José de Apartadó, Colombia.”

Juan’s monograph investigates how and why unarmed civilians have defied violent oppression though acts of non-cooperation in Columbia.

Juan is currently studying in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the EUI.
