Congratulations to former EUI Professor Laurence Fontaine, who was nominated ‘Chevalier(e) de la Légion d’honneur’ on 1 January 2015. The award is the highest national distinction awarded by France, given for a minimum of 20 years of public service or 25 years of professional activity, and ’eminent merits’.
Professor Fontaine was on faculty in the Department of History and Civilisation from 1995 to 2003, where she published widely and supervised many HEC researchers.
