Movie Screening: Access to the Danger Zone
On Wednesday 5 March the film Access to the Danger Zone will be screened in the Emeroteca, Badia at 18.00.
The film, narrated by Daniel Day-Lewis, looks at the challenges of delivering humanitarian and medical aid in conflict areas, tracking the work of Medicins Sans Frontieres, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 for their work. Challenges highlighted by the organisations decision to withdraw from Somalia after 22 years after a series of attacks on staff and facilities.
The event is organised in the framework or the EUI Volunteer Connection, and will be introduced by the coordinator of the MSF volunteer group in Florence, Laura Righi and followed by a Q&A.
The film will be in English with Italian subtitles.
