The Mad Cows

The Mad Cows are the EUI’s female five-a-side soccer team.

To join the team you do not need any previous soccer skills, they play just for fun and absolute beginners are warmly welcomed, giving members of the EUI community the opportunity to meet new people as well as engaging in regular sport.

Training will take place on Mondays at 7pm on the pitch at Villa Schifanoia (Departments of Law and History). Depending on interest and demand, additional training sessions can be scheduled on Wednesdays and/or during the weekends.

The members of the Mad Cows come from a mix of backgrounds and nationalities: EUI researchers from all departments, partners, members of the staff and people from outside the EUI world.

If last year’s enthusiasm continues into this season they hope to take part in a local women’s tournament here in Florence. However, if you would rather just play for fun joining training does not have to be accompanied by participation in the tournament.
