Emblem_of_Italy.svgThe EUI now has connections with three judges on the Corte Costituzionale of Italy. Professor Giuliano Amato and Professor Silvana Sciarra have both been members of the faculty at the law department and Marta Cartabia wrote her PhD here at the EUI.

Former head of the law department and current faculty member Professor Marise Cremona told EUI Life “The Law Department is very proud of the fact that three current members of the Corte Costituzionale have been members of our EUI community… It bears witness to the enriching experience that the EUI offers both researchers and professors, to the strong tradition of constitutional law in the Department and to the fundamental importance of the relationship between the academic study of law and its practical expression in the highest courts.”
